Mar. 15—ALBANY — Albany State University will honor more than 950 students' academic achievements at the university's 2023 Honors Day Ceremony. The event will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in ASU's West Campus arena. Thirty-eight of the students being honored have a 4.0 GPA. Dougherty County Superior Court Judge Victoria S. Darrisaw will be the guest speaker. Darrisaw has served as a judge in Georgia since 2012. In 2018, then-Gov. Nathan Deal appointed her to the Dougherty County Superior Court.
